PM fails to ‘double income’ but tortures farmers instead: Rahul Gandhi

New Delh : Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi said that the central government has failed to double the income of farmers. Rahul Gandhi tweeted on Monday that the central government had promised to double the income of farmers by the year 2022. Their income has not increased but ‘tortures’ have definitely increased.

Rahul said that farmers are committing suicide in the country and farmers who were martyred have not yet received compensation. He said that the Modi government waives off the loans of the capitalists but there is no scheme for the farmers. Central Government is also cheating the farmers in the name of Minimum Support Price (MSP). He said that instead of benefiting the farmers in the name of crop insurance scheme, insurance companies have got benefit of Rs 40,000 crore.

Earlier Rahul Gandhi had raised questions on the central government regarding the Agnipath scheme. He had said that this scheme is neither in the interest of the country nor in the interest of the youth.
