Udaipur, April 24 (Udaipur Kiran): The 17th International Conference organised by the Faculty of Commerce and Management at Pacific University concluded successfully, focusing on the role of ESG and Artificial Intelligence in redefining business paradigms.

Titled “Redefining Business Paradigm through Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and AI for Sustainability and Inclusivity,” the conference witnessed participation from over 400 experts, academicians, industry leaders and policymakers. Research papers were presented across 11 tracks, covering ESG, AI, innovation, inclusion and sustainable business models.
The conference was inaugurated by Vasudev Devnani, who highlighted that the integration of ESG and AI can make businesses more sustainable while strengthening social inclusion. He described the conference as a significant step for the industry.
Guest of Honour Prof B P Sharma said AI-driven strategies based on environmental, social and governance principles are key to addressing global challenges, especially for developing countries like India. UCCI Udaipur President Manish Galundia emphasised that local industries in cities like Udaipur should adopt ESG practices to compete globally.
In his presidential address, Prof Hemant Kothari said the participation of over 400 delegates reflects the relevance of the theme. He added that businesses must move beyond short-term gains and focus on ESG principles for long-term growth.
Organising Director and Dean Prof Deepin Mathur said the platform successfully brought together academia, industry and policymakers. He noted that the presented research papers will be published in journals and edited books, and stressed that integrating AI with traditional business practices can deliver better outcomes.
Experts at the conference also discussed the use of AI in ESG reporting, risk assessment and sustainability strategies. It was highlighted that AI-based data analytics can enable real-time ESG scoring aligned with standards like BRSR. Sessions also focused on inclusive growth, including case studies on the use of AI in rural economies.
The conference concluded with a vote of thanks by Organising Secretary Dr Narendra Chawda, marking the event as a significant platform for knowledge exchange and business innovation.
