Held in New Delhi, the ceremony witnessed couples from Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Bihar, Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh taking their wedding vows in the presence of sacred fire and Vedic chants. The event marked the culmination of years of struggle, aspirations and perseverance for many of the newlyweds and their families.

The two-day programme began with traditional rituals including Ganesh Sthapana, Haldi and Mehendi ceremonies. Folk songs, Ghoomar performances and cultural activities added to the festive atmosphere, while guests and volunteers extended their blessings to the couples.

During the event, Narayan Seva Sansthan President Prashant Agarwal, Director Vandana Agarwal and Trustee Devendra Chaubisa honoured donors and guests for their contribution and support.

To help the newly married couples begin their family life, the institution provided essential household items, including beds, wardrobes, gas stoves, fans, mixers and a wide range of kitchen utensils. Several donors from Delhi also contributed gifts for the couples.

Prashant Agarwal said that a mass wedding is not merely the union of two individuals but a celebration of dignity, equality and social harmony. He added that the institution remains committed to ensuring that no differently-abled or financially weak individual is deprived of marriage due to economic constraints.

Among the couples, the story of Jharkhand residents Shibu Kumar and Geeta Kumari drew special attention. Both faced physical disabilities and financial challenges, but received support from the institution, including treatment assistance and modern calipers, before tying the knot at the same platform that helped improve their lives.

Another inspiring story was that of Mukesh and Durga from Banswara, Rajasthan. Durga, who underwent a successful corrective surgery through the institution in 2009 and now works as a teacher in a private school, described the marriage as a new chapter in her life.

Narayan Seva Sansthan stated that it has facilitated the marriages of 2,582 differently-abled and underprivileged couples over the past four decades. The organisation has also provided free artificial limbs to more than 39,388 individuals and offered free treatment to over 4.52 lakh patients.

The ceremony highlighted the role of social support and collective responsibility in helping individuals overcome challenges and build a better future.
