Apple iPhone 18 Pro to Feature Aluminum Frame in Three Colors

Mumbai, June 7: Apple’s upcoming conference, WWDC 2026, is just around the corner, and new leaks have revealed the aluminum frames of the iPhone 18 Pro models. These frames suggest that the new flagships will be available in a fresh range of colors. Let’s explore what Apple has in store for its latest devices this year.

The leaked chassis indicates that the iPhone 18 Pro will be launched in three colors: Dark Cherry, Cloud Blue, and Black. Notably, Apple appears to have reversed its earlier decision to use titanium frames, opting instead for aluminum for the iPhone 18 Pro.

Among the color options, the Dark Cherry variant, inspired by darker red or wine tones, is likely to be the flagship choice, reminiscent of last year’s Cosmic Orange for the iPhone 17 Pro. The Cloud Blue variant will feature a brighter shade, though slightly darker than the Mist Blue of the current iPhone 17 model. Additionally, the Dark Black color will cater to users who prefer darker shades over previous options like matte black and space gray.

In terms of specifications, leaks suggest that the iPhone 18 Pro will sport a 6.3-inch LTPO display, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max will feature a larger 6.9-inch panel. There are also rumors of a shift to a punch-hole camera setup, allowing for slimmer bezels and more screen space.

Major upgrades are anticipated in the camera department, with the introduction of a “moving aperture lens” or variable aperture, enabling users to have better control over depth of field in their photos. Additionally, a three-stack-layer image sensor is rumored to enhance dynamic range, reduce image noise, and speed up image processing.

Powering the iPhone 18 Pro will be the next-gen A20 Pro chipset, developed using TSMC’s advanced 2nm process, making it the most efficient chip to date. Battery life is expected to improve, especially with the new processor, allowing the iPhone 18 Pro to outlast its predecessor, the iPhone 17 Pro. The device will run on iOS 27, set to launch during WWDC 2026 on June 8.

Regarding pricing, there are speculations of a potential increase due to rising RAM costs and significant investments in the variable aperture sensor. However, to remain competitive with other flagship Android devices, Apple may absorb some of these costs. The official launch date is anticipated to be announced in mid-August, with the release scheduled for September.

Stay tuned for more updates on the iPhone 18 Pro models and live coverage from WWDC 2026.
