Xiaomi Pad 8 Prices Increase in India

Mumbai, June 7: If you’re considering purchasing the Xiaomi Pad 8 in India, be prepared to pay more. Launched in March 2026, the tablet has seen a price increase of Rs. 2,000 across all variants.

The entry-level 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant now costs Rs. 35,999, up from its launch price of Rs. 33,999. The 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model has risen from Rs. 36,999 to Rs. 38,999. Buyers opting for this variant bundled with the Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro will now need to spend Rs. 43,999, compared to the earlier price of Rs. 41,999.

The premium Nano Texture Display variant, which offers anti-glare and anti-reflective properties, with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, is now priced at Rs. 40,999, up from Rs. 38,999. The same model bundled with the Focus Pen Pro now costs Rs. 45,999.

What’s driving this price hike? The ongoing surge in memory and storage chip prices is the primary factor. DRAM production capacity is increasingly being redirected toward data centers to meet the demands of the AI industry, creating a supply-demand imbalance for chips used in consumer electronics.

Xiaomi has not released an official statement regarding this increase. Other brands, including OnePlus, Poco, and Lava, have also raised prices on several mid-range devices in recent months.

The Xiaomi Pad 8 features an 11.2-inch 3.2K display with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 800 nits of peak brightness. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset and comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR5T RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage.

A 9,200mAh battery with 45W fast charging keeps the device running, while a quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos handles audio duties. The tablet runs HyperOS 3 and supports the Focus Pen Pro stylus, which offers over 16,000 levels of pressure sensitivity.
