Modi’s Chittorgarh visit dealt a major blow to Vasundhara Raje, BJP faces increased challenge in Rajasthan

Udaipur : Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a rally in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan on Tuesday. In his speech, he launched a scathing attack on the Congress government, but once again ignored Vasundhara Raje.

Modi seated Raje on the outermost seat on the stage. He did not mention her name in his speech either. Instead, he took the name of BJP state president CP Joshi and said that there would be no face in the election, only the lotus flower.

It is believed that Modi wants to sideline Raje in Rajasthan politics. Raje is a former BJP chief minister and has a strong base in the party. However, Modi wants all party leaders to work together for BJP’s victory in Rajasthan.

Raje’s political position could be further weakened by Modi’s move. She was staking her claim as the BJP’s chief ministerial candidate in Rajasthan, but Modi’s move has reduced her chances.
