Mumbai, September 28 (Udaipur Kiran News) – Former Delhi captain Mithun Manhas has been elected as the new President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The decision was taken during the 94th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Mumbai on Sunday.

The post had been vacant since former India all-rounder Roger Binny resigned in August. Since then, Rajeev Shukla had been serving as the interim president. Shukla will now continue as BCCI Vice President, while Devajit Saikia remains as Secretary.
🏏 New BCCI Office Bearers
In a major reshuffle, former India cricketer Raghuram Bhat has been appointed as the Treasurer, replacing Prabhatej Singh Bhatia, who has now been named Joint Secretary.
📋 Selection Committees Revamped
The Senior Men’s Selection Committee has been restructured, with Pragyan Ojha and RP Singh joining the panel, replacing S. Sharath and Subroto Banerjee. The committee, led by Ajit Agarkar, will function till the 2026 T20 World Cup.
Meanwhile, S. Sharath has been appointed as the Chairman of the Junior Selection Committee.
The Women’s Selection Committee also saw changes. Amita Sharma replaces Neetu David as the new chairperson. The committee now includes Shyama Dey, Sulkashana Naik, Jaya Sharma, and Shravanti Naidu.
🏢 Other Key Appointments
Jaydev Shah, former Saurashtra captain, joins the BCCI Apex Council.
Khairul Jamal Mazumdar from Mizoram is now part of the IPL Governing Council.
Jayesh George will head the Women’s Premier League Committee, which also includes Manhas, Shukla, Saikia, Bhatia, Bhat, and Arun Dhumal.
