Durga Puja Travel Alert: South Eastern Railway Cancels and Reschedules Several Trains

Jamshedpur, September 28 (Udaipur Kiran News) – In view of Durga Puja and due to operational reasons, the South Eastern Railway (SER) has announced changes in the operation of several trains. The adjustments include train cancellations, short-terminations, short-originations, rescheduling, and route diversions. The railway administration issued an official notification on Sunday and urged passengers to check train schedules in advance to avoid inconvenience.

🚫 Cancelled Trains

The following trains will remain cancelled:

• September 28 & 29, 2025:

  • 68043/68044 Tatanagar – Rourkela – Tatanagar MEMU

  • 68025/68026 Chakradharpur – Rourkela – Chakradharpur MEMU

  • 68137/68138 Tatanagar – Chandil Bazar – Tatanagar MEMU

• September 29 & October 5, 2025:

  • 68046/68045 Asansol – Adra – Asansol MEMU Passenger

✂️ Short-Terminated / Short-Originated Trains

• October 4, 2025:

  • 68055/68056 Asansol – Tatanagar – Asansol MEMU Passenger will run only up to Adra. The Adra–Tatanagar section remains cancelled.

• October 3 & 5, 2025:

  • 13503/13504 Barddhaman – Hatia – Barddhaman MEMU Express will start and terminate at Gomoh, with services cancelled between Gomoh and Hatia.

• September 29, October 3 & 5, 2025:

  • 18019/18020 Jhargram – Dhanbad – Jhargram Express will start and terminate at Bokaro Steel City, with the Bokaro–Dhanbad segment cancelled.

⏰ Rescheduled Trains

• 18184 (Buxar – Tatanagar Express) will depart 90 minutes late from Buxar on October 5, 2025.

• 18036 (Hatia – Kharagpur Express) will depart 2 hours late from Hatia on October 4, 2025.

🔄 Diverted Train

• 18601 (Tatanagar – Hatia Express) on October 4, 2025, will operate via Chandil – Govindpur – Muri instead of the regular Chandil – Purulia – Kusunda – Muri route.

The railway administration has appealed to passengers to check the updated train status before travelling to avoid any inconvenience during the festive season.
