Udaipur (Udaipur Kiran)। MDS Public School organised a grand felicitation ceremony to honour its outstanding student Kiyana Parihar, who has been delivering remarkable performances at the international level.
Representing India and MDS Public School, Kiyana won a gold medal in the Under-10 Girls Blitz category at the Commonwealth Chess Championship 2025, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 8 to 17 November 2025. Her achievement has brought immense pride to the school, Rajasthan and the country.
Kiyana has won several medals in world and Commonwealth-level competitions in 2025, further strengthening her reputation as a rising star in chess.
Member of Parliament Mannalal Rawat attended the event as the chief guest, adding great significance to the celebration.

Following her consistent success, the November 2025 FIDE rating list recognised Kiyana as Rajasthan’s first Women Candidate Master (WCM) and India’s youngest WCM.
The ceremony was attended by school management, principal, teachers, students, parents and distinguished guests.
MP Mannalal Rawat praised Kiyana’s achievements and said, “Such talent is the future of our country. Kiyana has made Rajasthan and India proud on the world stage with her dedication and discipline.”
Kiyana expressed gratitude to her parents, coaches, teachers and continuous practice, saying this honour motivates her to reach even greater heights.
