Patna, Mar 2 ( ) Taking cognizence of the issue regarding maintenance of MLAs recommend schemes, Bihar Assembly Speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha said on Wednesday that it was a policy matter and asked the government to inform the house about it. Intervening into the reply to a call attention of BJP member Nitish Mishra being made by the Minister in charge Shravan Kumar in the state assembly, the speaker asked the government to inform the house about the maintenance policy of the schemes after discussing the issue in detail. Replying to the call attention the Minister Shravan Kumar said that budgetary allocation wh ere available for maintenance of the projects under chief minister regional development scheme. The Minister said that the department concerned have been authorised for maintenance of the schemes for which the budgetary provisions have been made. He said budgetary provisions would be made for the departments devoid of it. He also assured to review the matter at department level. Dissatisfied with the reply of the Minister, Nitish Mishra through his supplementary said that the schemes recommended by the MLAs have been executed at an expenditure of more than Rs 10000 crore and in want of maintenance the same would be rendered useless . The BJP member said that all departments should work in tandem for maintenance of such schemes and for this he suggested to frame a maintenance policy. RS BM
