Mahindra Set to Launch 5 New Diesel SUVs

Mumbai, October 25: Mahindra is preparing to introduce five new diesel SUVs in the Indian market, while continuing its work on electric and hybrid vehicles. The upcoming models include the new Vision S, Thar Rocks facelift, Scorpio-N facelift, Scorpio Classic facelift, and Scorpio Lifestyler pickup. These vehicles are expected to feature new designs and enhanced features, with some models anticipated to launch by the end of this year, while the Scorpio Lifestyler is expected to debut in 2027.

The Mahindra Vision S will be a compact SUV, likely launching by the end of 2026. It is expected to have a boxy design with square LED headlights, a new grille, and large wheel arches. Inside, features may include dual 12.3-inch screens and a panoramic sunroof. The engine details are yet to be revealed, but it may come with a 1.5-liter diesel engine similar to that of the Thar and Thar Rocks.

The updated Mahindra Thar Rocks will feature new alloy wheels and suspension improvements for a more comfortable ride on rough roads. It is expected to retain features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen, ventilated seats, wireless charging, and a 360-degree camera, powered by a 2.2-liter turbo diesel engine delivering up to 175 bhp and 400 Nm of torque.

Testing is ongoing for the Scorpio-N facelift, which may feature a larger grille, modified bumper, and new LED lamps. The cabin could see a larger touchscreen and ventilated seats, while the existing 2.2-liter turbo diesel engine is expected to remain unchanged, with both manual and automatic gearbox options available.

The Scorpio Classic facelift will also receive updates, including a new grille, revised bumper, new alloy wheels, and updated taillights. The cabin may feature a new color theme and an improved infotainment system, with the addition of an electric sunroof for the first time. This model is also expected to use the existing 2.2-liter diesel engine, providing 130 hp and 300 Nm of torque, with a launch anticipated by the end of 2026.

Recently showcased, the Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler pickup is expected to launch in India in April 2027, with a starting price of ₹19.79 lakh. It will feature a double-cab design, a spacious loading bed, and LED lights. Inside, it may include a touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, dual-zone AC, and ventilated seats, powered by the 2.2-liter diesel engine from the Scorpio-N.
