UGC NET December 2026 Registration Deadline Approaches

Mumbai, October 25: The registration process for the UGC NET December 2026 is currently underway, with the deadline fast approaching. Candidates aspiring to become assistant professors or secure a Junior Research Fellowship in colleges and universities across the country must complete their applications soon. The final date for submission is set for October 28 at 11:50 PM, leaving just three days for candidates to apply.

As per the latest data from the National Testing Agency (NTA), a total of 186,301 applications have been submitted for the UGC National Eligibility Test for December 2026. Candidates can apply through the official websites, ugcnet.nta.nic.in or nta.ac.in, and are required to fill out only one application form.

The examination will be conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) format across 87 subjects.

To apply, candidates should follow these steps:

2. Click on the link for the UGC-NET Dec 2026 Application form.
3. Fill in the required information to complete the application form.
4. After successfully submitting the form, ensure to keep a printed copy for future reference.

Additionally, some candidates have reported issues with the ‘live photo capturing’ process required for the application.
