Toyota Set to Launch Two Exciting Cars in India Soon
Mumbai, October 25: Toyota is gearing up to make a significant impact in the Indian automotive market by launching two major vehicles by the end of 2026. The lineup includes a facelifted version of the popular MPV, Innova Hycross, and the new generation Fortuner. The facelifted Innova Hycross is expected to be unveiled in November, while the global debut of the new Fortuner is scheduled for December 1, 2026, with its launch in India anticipated in early 2027.
The updated Innova Hycross will feature several enhancements, including a new front grille, redesigned bumper, and updated LED headlights. The overall look is expected to remain similar, but the cabin will see a significant upgrade with a new 12.3-inch touchscreen replacing the previous 10.1-inch display. The hybrid model may also include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, along with features like a connected car system, 360-degree camera, wireless charging, and automatic climate control.
The Innova Hycross facelift will retain its existing engine options, featuring a 2.0-liter petrol engine that delivers 173bhp and 204Nm of torque. The strong hybrid variant will combine the petrol engine with an electric motor, producing a total output of 184bhp, paired with an e-CVT automatic gearbox.
As for the new generation Fortuner, it is expected to be Toyota’s most significant offering this year, boasting a larger front grille, new headlights, a higher bonnet, and a more robust bumper. The design will be modernized with new alloy wheels, a revamped tailgate, and updated LED taillights.
Inside, the new Fortuner is likely to feature a large touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, wireless phone connectivity, wireless charging, ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof. Safety features may include Level-2 ADAS, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and lane-keeping assist. The existing 2.8-liter turbo diesel engine is expected to continue, along with developments on a strong hybrid petrol model.
Stay tuned for more updates on these exciting launches from Toyota.
