Fuel Prices Remain Steady Amid Rising Crude Oil Rates

Mumbai, October 25: Fuel prices across India have remained unchanged today, despite the ongoing rise in crude oil prices. Currently, petrol is priced at ₹102.12 per litre and diesel at ₹95.20 per litre in the national capital. The recent surge in crude oil prices, which have crossed $110 per barrel, is putting pressure on oil companies. This increase follows attacks by Houthi rebels, which have contributed to the rising costs. Earlier this year, crude oil prices were below $70 per barrel before the onset of the Iran-Israel conflict.

In other cities, petrol prices vary significantly. In Noida, petrol is priced at ₹101.96 per litre and diesel at ₹95.44 per litre, making it cheaper than in Delhi. However, in Patna, petrol prices have soared above ₹110, currently standing at ₹113.37 per litre, with diesel at ₹99.36 per litre.

Mumbai sees petrol priced at ₹111.21 per litre and diesel at ₹97.83 per litre. Meanwhile, in Hyderabad, petrol has crossed ₹115, currently at ₹115.69 per litre, with diesel at ₹103.82 per litre.

The last increase in fuel prices occurred in May, when oil companies raised rates four times, resulting in a ₹7.5 per litre increase in domestic petrol and diesel prices. Since then, prices have remained stable.

Recently, Jio-BP announced a hike in fuel prices, raising petrol by ₹5 per litre and diesel by ₹3 per litre. Naira has also increased its prices this month.
