New Delhi, March 24 : Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Thursday and sought the Centre’s approval for his government’s ambitious Semi-High Speed Silver Line Rail (K-Rail) Project in the state. The Chief Minister’s visit followed protests against the project in the state. The Chief Minister highlighted the importance of the project to provide a seamless connectivity for movement of people, goods and services from one mode of transport to another. The Chief Minister was accompanied by Kerala Chief Secretary Dr V P Joy and Rajya Sabha member John Britas. Following the meeting with the Prime Minister, the Chief Minister called on the Prime Minister’s Principal Secretary, P K Mishra. DS MR
