It was confirmed on Thursday that the iQoo Z9s series will go on sale in India on August 21. The company has been teasing the smartphone for weeks. Last week, Gadgets 360 exclusively confirmed the names of the smartphones – iQoo Z9s and iQoo Z9s Pro. The phone models were recently spotted on GeekBench. While not much is known about the phones, previous reports have revealed some possible specifications. Specifically, the iQoo Z9s is an upgraded version of the iQoo Z9 sold in China.
The iQoo Z9s series release date has been confirmed
The launch date was confirmed by iQoo CEO Nipun Maria (@nipunmarya) in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter). An image promoting gold-colored smartphones was also attached to the post. The promotional image also featured the caption “The fastest curved phone in its segment”, referring to the refresh rate.
Earlier this month, Maria also presented the design of one of the iQoo Z9s series mobile phones. The post shows the smartphone in white with a marble texture. The color variant may be called ‘Luxe Marble’, which was advertised with the official name iQoo India in another X post.
The teaser image shows the smartphone’s rectangular camera module in the upper left corner. The block had a silver casing with rounded edges that may have been metal. On the right edge of the device, we find a volume control and a power button.
In a conversation with Gadgets 360 last month, Maria said that the launch of the iQoo Z9s and Z9s Pro will be the brand’s first in India. This is the first time that the company is launching two Z series devices at the same time.
According to a previous report, one of the iQoo Z9s phones was spotted on GeekBench. The model number mentioned is Vivo l2035. In the single-core and multi-core tests, the phone achieved 1137 and 3044 points, respectively. Based on the results, it can be assumed that the phone could be powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset with Adreno 720 GPU.
