India Will Be Completely Free from Maoist Terror — Modi’s Guarantee

New Delhi, October 17 (Udaipur Kiran): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that India will soon be completely free from Maoist and Naxal violence, asserting that this is his “Modi Guarantee.” Speaking at a national television channel’s event, the Prime Minister became emotional while recalling the struggles of victims affected by left-wing extremism.

Maoist Terror

He said that during the Congress regime, “urban Naxals” ensured that the voices of victims never reached the public. “Those days are not far when India will be entirely free from Maoist terror — this is Modi’s guarantee,” the Prime Minister declared.

Maoist Violence Down Sharply

Modi said that Maoist activity is now confined to only 11 districts across the country, with just three districts being severely affected. “Due to our government’s firm commitment, Maoist violence has declined significantly. In the last 75 hours alone, 303 Naxalites have surrendered. Our efforts are paying off, and soon the affected regions will light up with hope and happiness,” he added.

From ‘Government Control’ to Democratic Governance

The Prime Minister said that his government has replaced the earlier “mentality of over-government control” with democratization and transparency in administration. He criticized the previous Congress governments for shutting down several public sector undertakings (PSUs) instead of reviving them.
“Today, PSUs like LIC and SBI are setting new benchmarks of profitability and success,” Modi said.

Technological Growth and Self-Reliance

Highlighting achievements in the telecom sector, Modi said that BSNL has launched India’s indigenously developed 4G stack, making the country one of only five in the world with such technology. “The same BSNL that was once neglected by Congress now operates 1 lakh 4G towers, driving India’s digital revolution,” he added.

He also pointed out that before 2014, the Congress government had considered closing petrol pumps overnight to reduce subsidies. “Today, India operates 24-hour fuel services and is investing heavily in alternative fuels and electric mobility,” he said.

India’s Economic Transformation

Modi stated that India has emerged as one of the world’s top five economies, overcoming doubts and challenges over the past decade. “Inflation remains below 2%, and growth is above 7%. From chips to ships, India is now self-reliant and confident,” he said.

He further emphasized that genuine progress happens only when citizens are freed from excessive government interference. “Unlike the reforms of the 1990s, today’s reforms are driven by conviction and vision, not compulsion,” he added.

Strong Stand Against Terrorism

Referring to India’s national security policy, Modi said, “India no longer stays silent in the face of terror. Through surgical strikes, air raids, and Operation Sindoor, we have shown the world that India responds firmly and decisively.”

He added, “India will not stop, nor will it rest. Together, 140 crore Indians will continue to propel the nation forward. When the world faces stagnation, it is natural that the world talks about an unstoppable India.”

Global Recognition and Foreign Investment

Modi highlighted that India’s trade with G7 nations has grown by over 60%, and global trust in India as a reliable and responsible partner is at an all-time high. He said that sectors like electronics, pharmaceuticals, automobiles, and mobile manufacturing are witnessing record investments.

Citing recent developments, Modi said, “European nations have pledged $100 billion in new investments, creating lakhs of jobs in India. Our exports rose by 7% last year, with agricultural exports touching ₹4.5 lakh crore.”

He added that international agencies have reaffirmed India’s robust economic position. “For the first time in 17 years, S&P has upgraded India’s credit rating, and the IMF has raised its growth forecast. Recently, Google announced a $15 billion investment in India’s artificial intelligence sector. Over the past three years, our average growth rate has been 7.8%, which is unprecedented,” the Prime Minister said.
