Patna, October 18 (Udaipur Kiran) : The Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) in Patna has announced an opportunity for those seeking employment in the medical field. The institute is looking to fill eight Senior Resident positions in the Cardiology department on an ad-hoc basis for a duration of 89 days.
According to the official notification, the available posts include two unreserved positions, one unreserved (female), two for Extremely Backward Class (EBC), one for Backward Class (BC), one for Scheduled Caste (SC), and one for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS).
Candidates will be selected based on a walk-in interview and document verification, with salaries determined according to the institute’s regulations. Applicants must possess an MS/MD in Medicine and should be no older than 45 years as of February 7, 2026. Relaxations in age limits will be provided for candidates from reserved categories.
The walk-in interview is scheduled for October 24, starting at 11 AM in the Head of Department’s room of the Cardiology department at IGIMS. Candidates are required to report by 10 AM on the day of the interview, where document verification will also take place.
Candidates are advised to arrive on time and bring a hard copy of their completed application form along with original and photocopies of all relevant documents.
