New Delhi, February 14 (Udaipur Kiran) – Today, February 14, 2026, is the last date to register for the India Post Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Recruitment 2026 for 28,636 posts. Interested and eligible candidates who have not yet applied can complete their registration through the official portal at indiapost.gov.in/gdsonlineengagement.

While registration and fee payment close today, candidates can submit the fully completed application form until February 16, 2026. The correction window will remain open from February 18 to February 19.
The recruitment is open to 10th pass candidates. There will be no written examination or interview. Selection will be based entirely on a merit list prepared from Class 10 marks.
Expected Cut-Off Marks
The cut-off varies by state and category. Based on previous trends, the General category cut-off in major circles such as Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi and Rajasthan has usually remained above 90 percent. In the first merit list, the cut-off in these circles has often reached 99–100 percent. Experts indicate that in most circles, candidates scoring below 90 percent have comparatively lower chances of selection.

Eligibility Criteria
Age limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 40 years.
Age relaxation: 5 years for SC, 3 years for OBC candidates.
Educational qualification: Must have passed Class 10 with Mathematics and English. Knowledge of the local language of the applied circle is mandatory.
Basic computer knowledge and ability to ride a bicycle are required.
Pay Scale
BPM: ₹12,000 to ₹29,380
ABPM/Dak Sevak: ₹10,000 to ₹24,470
Selection Process
Selection will be based on a system-generated merit list prepared from marks obtained in Class 10. Higher educational qualifications will not be given additional weightage. Shortlisted candidates will have to undergo document verification at their respective divisional offices.

SC/ST and all female candidates: No fee
Application Process
Candidates must first complete registration using their mobile number and email ID for OTP verification. After receiving login credentials, they can fill in personal details, educational qualifications, post preferences and upload photograph and signature. The final step involves payment of the application fee through UPI, debit/credit card or net banking.
Only photograph and signature need to be uploaded, but candidates must have complete details of their Class 10 marksheet while filling the form.
