Patna, February 14 (Udaipur Kiran) – The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has once again increased the number of posts under the Second Inter Level Recruitment 2023. This time, 1,107 additional vacancies have been added across various departments.
With the latest revision, the total number of posts has increased from 25,311 to 26,426. However, the Commission has not extended the application deadline along with the vacancy increase. The last date for registration and fee payment was February 13, 2026, while the final date to completely submit the application form is February 16, 2026.
Over 33 lakh applications have already been received for the recruitment, which was originally announced in 2023. Since then, the number of posts has been revised multiple times, and the application window has also been reopened on several occasions. Candidates are now awaiting the announcement of the examination date.
Repeated extensions in the past have led to dissatisfaction among aspirants, many of whom have expressed concerns over delays in conducting the examination. Candidates pointed out that the first Inter Level recruitment, advertised in 2014, took several years for the final result to be declared.
Selection Process
The selection will be conducted through a preliminary written examination, followed by a main examination and skill test. The examination will be held in online mode.
Exam Pattern
The preliminary examination will be objective in nature. Questions will be asked from General Studies, General Science, Mathematics and Mental Ability. The paper will consist of 150 questions, with a duration of 2 hours and 15 minutes. One mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
Qualifying Marks
The minimum qualifying marks for the Inter Level preliminary exam are:
General category: 40 percent
BC category: 36.5 percent
MBC category: 34 percent
SC/ST category: 32 percent
If the examination is conducted in multiple shifts, the result will be declared using a normalised method. Candidates up to five times the number of vacancies will qualify for the preliminary stage and will be eligible to appear for the main examination.
