Islamabad : Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan was injured in firing in Wazirabad on Thursday afternoon. Khan’s freedom rally entered Wazirabad, along with a large number of his followers. The incident occurred at Zafar Ali Khan Square.

Initially, people thought the sound to be of firecrackers. However, an unidentified person fired at Khan, ARY News Channel has reported.
Imran Khan is stated to have received injuries in his right leg but was in fine and even waved to supporters at the hospital. Four others, including a Tahreek-e-Insaf MP Faizal Javed, were also injured in the firing. Soon after the firing incident, he was shifted from the container to a bulletproof vehicle.
