The Google Pixel 9 series is set to launch on August 13 and the design of the smartphone has already been leaked on social media. The display details of Google’s next smartphone have reportedly been leaked ahead of its official announcement. According to the claim, the phone comes with a Samsung OLED display that uses “M14” organic material, which can result in improved brightness. It is noteworthy that the iPhone 16 Pro model also uses the same display technology.
Google Pixel 9 Display Specifications (Expected)
It is said that the new Google Pixel 9 series consists of three models: Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL, with the second model being a new launch. According to a report published by Android Authority, all three phones are likely to have better brightness thanks to the M14’s OLED display.
The Pixel 9’s full-screen HDR brightness is said to be 1800 nits, compared to the Pixel 8’s 1400 nits. Meanwhile, the Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL may have HDR brightness of 2,050 nits, about 400 nits more than the previous model. These are HDR values, but we assume that the local brightness values are higher on the Pixel 9 series.
According to reports, the Google Pixel 9 Pro will be a smaller smartphone. The phone is said to feature a 6.34-inch display, compared to the Pixel 8 Pro’s 6.71-inch display. This could be due to the launch of an all-new model called the Pixel 9 Pro XL, which reportedly features a 6.73-inch 120Hz display. If the specs are right, this will be the largest display ever on a non-foldable Pixel smartphone.
In addition to the Pixel 9 series, Google has confirmed the launch of its next-generation foldable smartphone, the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold. It will be the successor to the Pixel Fold, which the company announced at its I/O 2023 developer conference. Google’s entire upcoming smartphone lineup has been confirmed to be based on Gemini, the company’s large-scale language model (LLM) that powers artificial intelligence (AI). Possibilities.
