Google Enhances Gmail Mobile Experience with Web Signature Support
Google is rolling out a new feature for Gmail users on Android and iOS: if you haven’t set a mobile-specific email signature, the app will now automatically use your web signature. This move aligns Gmail’s mobile experience more closely with its desktop counterpart, offering a more consistent branding and communication style across platforms.

Web Signatures Now Sync Across Gmail Platforms
Previously, Gmail users could set a unique mobile signature under:
-
Android: Settings > Email address > Mobile Signature
-
iOS: Settings > Signature Settings
If no custom mobile signature was set, the email would simply go without one. With this update, Gmail will now pull the existing web signature into the mobile app. This includes full support for images, logos, and rich text formatting, allowing for a more polished and professional email appearance.
If users prefer to avoid syncing their web signature, Google advises setting a simple mobile signature—like a name or short phrase—under the app settings.
Available for All Gmail Users
This feature is now rolling out gradually and will be fully available by the end of April. It applies to:
-
Google Workspace customers
-
Workspace Individual Subscribers
-
Personal Google Account holders
The change is part of Google’s broader initiative to create a seamless, cross-platform experience.
Gemini App Integration Also Expands
In parallel, Google has expanded Workspace apps (formerly Workspace Extensions) for its AI-powered Gemini App. Now in open beta for Android and iOS, Gemini can access Gmail, Docs, Calendar, and Drive, enabling it to respond more intelligently to prompts by pulling contextual data from across your Google apps—without switching screens.
The full rollout of Gemini’s enhanced features is expected by the end of April, offering productivity boosts for enterprise and individual users alike.
