Godhra, 21 November (Udaipur Kiran): A tragic incident shook Godhra city on Friday morning after a house fire led to the death of four members of the same family due to suffocation. The fire broke out in a residence located in Gangotri Nagar on Bamrauli Road.

The victims have been identified as Kamalbhai Doshi (50), owner of Vardhman Jewellers, his wife Devalben Doshi (45), and their sons Dev (24) and Raj (22).
According to initial information, a sofa kept on the ground floor reportedly caught fire late in the night, possibly due to a short circuit or another technical cause. The house was enclosed with glass on all sides, preventing smoke from escaping. As the smoke filled the entire home, all four family members, who were asleep at the time, were unable to wake up and evacuate. They died on the spot due to suffocation.
The family was preparing to travel to Vapi this morning for the engagement ceremony of their elder son, Dev. The festive preparations have now turned into deep sorrow, leaving the entire locality in shock.
The business community in Godhra and residents of Gangotri Nagar have expressed grief over the heartbreaking loss, as the city mourns the sudden tragedy.
