Engineers India Shares Rise on MoU with Dangote Group

Mumbai, November 28 (Udaipur Kiran): Shares of Engineers India Limited (EIL) were trading marginally higher on the BSE after the company signed a memorandum of understanding with Dangote Group. The stock was trading at Rs. 199.45, up by 0.30 points or 0.15 per cent from its previous close of Rs. 199.15.

The scrip opened at Rs. 199.95 and touched a high of Rs. 202.75 and a low of Rs. 199.15 during the session. A total of 38,907 shares were traded on the counter so far.

The BSE Group ‘A’ stock, with a face value of Rs. 5, touched its 52-week high of Rs. 255.25 on July 11, 2025, and a 52-week low of Rs. 142.15 on March 3, 2025. Over the past one week, the stock moved between Rs. 193.60 and Rs. 202.75. The company’s current market capitalisation stands at Rs. 11,246.47 crore.

Promoters hold 51.32 per cent stake in the company, while institutional investors and non-institutional investors hold 20.79 per cent and 27.89 per cent respectively.

Engineers India has signed an MoU with Dangote Group to act as Project Management Consultant and Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management consultant for the second train of Dangote Refinery. The agreement follows EIL’s role in the delivery of the first 6,50,000 barrels per day train of the integrated refinery and petrochemical complex at the Lekki Free Zone, which was commissioned in 2024.

Dangote plans to expand the refinery capacity to 1.4 million barrels per day by 2028, for which EIL will serve as the PMC and EPCM consultant. The expansion will include a new PDH unit, which will increase polypropylene production from 8,30,000 tonnes per annum to 2.4 million tonnes.
