Udhampur, December 15 (Udaipur Kiran) – An encounter has started between terrorists and security forces in the Majalta area of Udhampur district on Monday. Joint teams of the army, police, and paramilitary forces launched a cordon and search operation in the Soan-Martha region of Majalta tehsil, which led to the exchange of fire.
An official stated that as the security forces intensified the search operation, terrorists hiding at the spot opened fire. The security personnel responded, resulting in an ongoing encounter. Sporadic gunfire continues, and additional forces have been deployed to the location. All possible escape routes have been sealed off to prevent the terrorists from fleeing.
