Raipur, 3 September (Kiran News): The Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out extensive raids in Chhattisgarh’s capital Raipur as well as Durg, Bhilai, and Bilaspur on Wednesday morning. According to police sources, the raids targeted premises related to agriculture businesses, with operations underway at 8 to 10 different locations in Raipur alone. The ED action was conducted with support from armed forces and involved 8 to 10 officers.

Sources revealed that the ED teams are conducting searches at the residence of businessman Vinay Garg in Shankar Nagar, as well as in Mahavir Nagar and Amli Deeh-Vista Colony in Raipur. In Bhilai, the agency is raiding the premises of Ann Bhumi Limited’s Director, Shiv Kumar Modi.
Official sources stated that a total of at least 18 premises belonging to sellers, contractors, and alleged middlemen are under scrutiny under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The raids are linked to alleged misuse of DMF (District Mineral Foundation) funds through the Chhattisgarh Seed Corporation.
