New Delhi, February 15: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta visited the ancient Shri Amarkh Mahadev Temple in Udaipur, Rajasthan, on Sunday, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri. She was accompanied by members of her cabinet during this spiritual visit.
In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, CM Rekha Gupta expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to worship Lord Shiva at the temple, which has been a center of penance, renunciation, and Shiva consciousness for centuries. She noted that Maha Shivratri serves as a moment for awakening the divine within oneself, stating, “Shiva is the void, Shiva is the infinite, and Shiva is the foundation from which creation, balance, and transformation flow.”
Gupta prayed for Lord Shiva’s blessings to remain upon Delhi and all citizens of the country, asking for strength to remain steadfast in the path of service and public welfare. Cabinet colleagues Ashish Sood, Ravindra Indraj, MLA Anil Sharma, and several leaders from the Rajasthan BJP were also present during the visit.
Following her prayers at the temple, Chief Minister Gupta visited the Nathdwara Dham to pay her respects to Shrinathji, the sacred site where Lord Krishna imparted eternal messages of dharma, compassion, and protection. She remarked that the remembrance of Lord Shiva on this auspicious occasion enhances the divine experience, highlighting the harmonious union of Krishna’s compassionate form and Shiva’s ascetic nature as pathways to spiritual completeness.
CM Rekha Gupta extended her wishes for Maha Shivratri, stating, “I wish all Delhi residents a blessed Maha Shivratri. This festival of the divine marriage of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati is a grand occasion to awaken the Shiva within us. The Adidev is the foundation of creation, power, and supreme consciousness in the universe. I pray to Bholenath for blessings of peace, happiness, and continuous progress and prosperity for Delhi.”
In a separate initiative, the Delhi government has decided to create a ‘land Aadhaar card’ for every piece of land in the capital as part of a revolutionary step to modernize land records and free the public from land disputes. Each land parcel will be assigned a unique 14-digit ‘land parcel identification number.’
