BSNL Discontinues Rs 1515 Annual Data Plan Amid Tariff Revisions

New Delhi, September 28 (Udaipur Kiran News): In a significant move ahead of the 2025 tariff hike, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has withdrawn its popular ₹1515 annual prepaid plan, which offered 2GB high-speed data per day followed by unlimited usage at 40 Kbps for a full year. The long-term data-only plan, costing around ₹4.15 per day, had been a preferred choice for users seeking year-round connectivity without voice or SMS benefits.

BSNL ₹147 Plan

With this withdrawal, BSNL now lacks any long-term data-only prepaid options, signaling a shift in its plan structure as the operator prepares for a broader tariff revision.

Current BSNL Data-Only Plans

BSNL’s data-only recharge options now include:

  • ₹411 pack: 100GB high-speed data + unlimited at 40 Kbps, valid for 60 days

  • ₹198 pack: 40GB high-speed data + unlimited at 40 Kbps, valid for 30 days

Short-term recharges include:

  • ₹105: 20GB, 7 days validity

  • ₹58: 8GB, 7 days validity

  • ₹16: 2GB, 1 day validity

⚠️ Note: The ₹58 and ₹16 vouchers do not extend plan validity.

Other Recent Revisions

BSNL has also modified several prepaid plans:

  • ₹107 plan: Now valid for 28 days with 200 calling minutes and 3GB data, reduced from 35 days earlier.

  • ₹485 plan: Offers unlimited voice, 2GB/day, and 100 SMS/day for 72 days (speed capped at 40 Kbps post-limit). The plan’s validity has been shortened from 82 days and later 80 days in previous revisions.

Tariff benefits may differ by circle; customers are advised to verify via the BSNL Selfcare app or official BSNL website before recharge.
