Jaipur, October 8 (Udaipur Kiran): The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Jalore unit, arrested Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Kalyan Singh from Bagoda Police Station red-handed while accepting a ₹50,000 bribe on Tuesday.

According to Smita Srivastava, Additional Director General, ACB, a complaint was received alleging that ASI Kalyan Singh had already taken ₹35,000 earlier and was demanding an additional ₹65,000 from the complainant in exchange for not filing charges against two individuals and extending favourable action in a police case involving the complainant’s relative.
Acting on the complaint, under the supervision of DIG Bhuwan Bhushan Yadav (Jodhpur Range) and led by Additional SP Mangilal Rathore, the ACB team laid a trap and caught the accused red-handed while accepting ₹50,000 from the complainant. The transaction was witnessed by independent panch witnesses, and the bribe amount was recovered on the spot.
The accused has been taken into custody, and further interrogation is underway. The ACB has registered a case under relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act and initiated further investigation.
