Udaipur : A joint venture of the district administration, Govind Guru Tribal University and the departments of tourism and the tribal area development, the fifth edition of the Arthuna Mahi festival is all set to commence on Monday. Held every year on the tunes of the world famous Konark festival, this event attracts art and nature lovers, history enthusiasts from far and wide. This year eminent artists would give their performances at the backdrop of the 10th century old Arthuna temple which is an architectural wonder. Digital exhibition, bird watching, boat race would be other major attractions for visitors coming from far and wide.
“Group performances of Odissi and Kathak dances, performance of Grammy award winner Pt VishwaMohan Bhatt would be the prime attraction while for nature lovers would have a great time during bird watching sessions. For the first time a digital photo and video exhibition would be held at the information center where the heritage sites, natural beauty and cultural richness of Banswara would be showcased before the visitors” collector Ashish Gupta said. During the three days events, there would be special light decorations made at the Arthuna temple to highlight its architectural splendor.
