Udaipur : Armed goons allegedly gang raped a 14-year old girl before decamping with cash, gold and silver ornaments from two houses within Charbhuja police station limits hours past Thursday midnight in Rajsamand district. The assaulters carried sticks and rods with them and forcedly entered a farm house in the outskirts of Morna village. The farm house was taken on lease by a contractor Madan Gurjar where the labourers too lived. ” The men were six to eight in numbers who laid a sudden attack in the farm house where workers were sleeping. The army of men attacked the people and snatched away all the ornaments on their bodies” Additional SP , Rajsamand Dr Rajesh Bharadwaj told Udaipur Kiran.After the loot at the farm house, the men marched into another house situated 100 meters from the farm house and attacked the landlord Gopal Singh and his wife. They looted Singh’s belongings including jewelry and 1.5 lakh rupees in cash. The couple were beaten up when they tried to resist the assaulters. Meanwhile, a 14-year old girl who was the daughter of Singh’s domestic help, fell prey to the gang which raped her brutally. Another minor girl jumped off from the first floor when some of the men barged into the house and advanced towards her. The victims told the police that the goons were more than six in numbers. The victims were so terrified and shocked by the sudden assault that they couldnt gather themselves or do much to over power the men. ” The men decamped with the valueables and escaped in the contractor’s jeep around 1.30 am.
As we got the information, teams from all the surrounding police stations rushed to the spot. Victims were taken to the district hospital, none of them are serious. A case of loot and rape has been registered against unidentified men” Dr Bharadwaj said. FSL team, dog squad was pressed into service, samples have been taken. Cyber team and special task forces have been set off in search of the culprits. According to police, there is a lean chance of involvement of local criminals, it seems to have been committed by outsiders. The goons had come in a bike and a loading vehicle, Police has sought footage from CCTV cameras installed in the surrounding areas.
