Amrit Bharat Station Scheme to Boost Bihars Economic Development: JD(U)

Patna, July 17: NDA leaders have asserted that the government is focused on development while the opposition attempts to mislead the public, discussing various issues including railway development, the Bankra Mosque in Kolkata, and the Kishanganj Airport project.

JD(U) MLA Shyam Rajak welcomed Prime Minister Modi’s inauguration of redeveloped railway stations under the ‘Amrit Bharat Station Scheme,’ calling it a significant and positive step for Bihar. He noted that Bihar has historically lagged in railway infrastructure, which has been a major factor in the lack of investment in the state.

Rajak emphasized that a robust transportation system is essential for any state’s economic growth, enabling the efficient distribution of goods across the country.

Regarding the ongoing dispute over the Bankra Mosque in Kolkata, Rajak stated that he is not fully informed about the matter. He mentioned that it remains unclear whether the mosque is within the airport premises and whether any objections were raised during the airport’s construction. He added that if any structure needs to be removed for security reasons, safety should be the top priority.

Bihar government minister Dilip Jaiswal commented on Punjab’s development, noting that the state, once among the leading ones in the country, has not progressed at the expected pace. He stated that Prime Minister Modi desires equal advancement for all states, as the overall development of all states is crucial for India to become a developed nation. The central government is focusing on various development projects in Punjab with this vision.

On the Kishanganj Airport project, Jaiswal highlighted its strategic and security importance due to its proximity to the borders of Nepal and Bangladesh. He informed that the land acquisition process has begun under emergency provisions, with initial funds already released. The government anticipates that the acquisition will be completed soon.

Regarding the Bharat Tiwari encounter case, Jaiswal remarked that some individuals are attempting to politicize the issue. He assured that the government is conducting a fair investigation and that actions will be taken against anyone found guilty based on the judicial inquiry commission’s report. He urged the opposition not to politicize this sensitive matter, reaffirming the government’s commitment to ensuring justice.
