Udaipur, November 12 (Udaipur Kiran) — Udaipur, the city of lakes, is set to host a grand musical celebration on November 12 as part of the event “Yeh Shaam Mastani – Amit Kumar Live in Concert”, organised jointly by Indira Enterprises, Kashti Foundation, and Ultimate Soul of Music (USM). The evening, to be held at the Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal, will feature legendary singer Amit Kumar, son of the iconic Kishore Kumar, along with his daughter Mukhtika Ganguly.

Musical Evening

The concert is being organised to mark the 73rd birthday of Dr. Ajay Murdia, renowned as a pioneer in the field of IVF and now an emerging film producer. Shraddha Murdia mentioned that the event’s theme has been creatively designed by Neetij–Shraddha Murdia and Kshitij–Aastha Murdia, blending Indira Murdia’s love for music, Ajay Murdia’s passion, and Udaipur’s cultural essence.

A Platform for Local Talent

Alongside renowned artists, the concert will also feature local performers from Udaipur, including Gaurav Medtwal, Ankit Chauhan, Komal Barhath, violinist Kanishka Verma, Divyansh Sharma, Kartik Sompura, Bhavesh Vairagi, Yuvaraj, and Sandeep. These young artists will showcase their musical talent on a grand stage in front of the city’s audience. Members of the USM group will also give live performances before the main concert.

Amit Kumar and Mukhtika Ganguly will take the stage later in the evening, enchanting the audience with evergreen melodies and musical tributes to the legendary Kishore Kumar.

Continuing the Legacy of “Indira Swarangana”

Dr. Ajay Murdia shared that his late wife Indira Murdia had a deep love for music, which inspired him to promote musical and cultural events in Udaipur. Under the “Indira Swarangana” series, the city has already hosted acclaimed performers such as Padma Shri Anup Jalota, lyricist Sameer Anjaan, and Suresh Wadkar, along with a special event, “Bhatt Music Virasat”, curated by filmmaker Vikram Bhatt in March 2025.

Promoting Art, Culture, and Social Change

The upcoming concert not only aims to celebrate music but also to promote art, culture, and positive social change. Through such initiatives, Kashti Foundation continues its mission to identify and uplift emerging talent while fostering Udaipur’s rich cultural heritage.
