JK Tyre Launches India’s First Embedded Smart Tyres for Passenger Vehicles
Udaipur, November 12 (Udaipur Kiran) — In a landmark innovation for India’s automotive sector, JK Tyre & Industries Ltd. has unveiled the country’s first passenger car tyres with embedded smart sensors, ushering in a new era of intelligent, connected, and safer mobility.
The newly launched Embedded Smart Tyres, designed and developed entirely in-house, are manufactured at JK Tyre’s state-of-the-art Banmore facility in Madhya Pradesh. These next-generation tyres are equipped with advanced sensors integrated within the tyre structure, capable of monitoring air pressure, temperature, and air leaks in real-time. The system provides instant feedback and actionable insights, enhancing driving safety, fuel efficiency, and tyre longevity.

Initially, the Embedded Smart Tyres will be available in the aftermarket through JK Tyre’s extensive dealership network, offered in 14 to 17-inch sizes.
This development builds on JK Tyre’s ongoing innovation drive, which began with the SMART Tyre technology introduced in 2019 through TREEL sensors — a first-of-its-kind solution combining Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) with cloud-based analytics. The system has already been widely adopted by fleet operators and individual car owners for its reliability and efficiency.
With the introduction of Embedded Smart Tyres, JK Tyre once again strengthens its position as a pioneer in intelligent mobility, reinforcing its vision of technology-led safety, performance, and sustainability in India’s automotive future.
