
AL AIN : Al Ain Zoo has welcomed a delegation from Moscow Zoo during which the parties discussed mutual cooperation and finding ways to collaborate on projects to protect and preserve wildlife.
The meeting covered various programmes for the conservation, breeding and exchange of rare and endangered species, and the vital protection of genetic assets. It also included a discussion on signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the two Zoos, the specialized aspects related to educational programmes at the Moscow Zoo Academy, and the possibility of Al Ain Zoo joining the Eurasian Regional Association of Zoos and Aquariums (EARAZA).
The Russian delegation was led by Svetlana Akulova, the Director-General of Moscow Zoo, and was received by H.E. Ghanim Mubarak Al Hajeri, Director-General of the Zoo and Aquarium Public Institution in Al Ain.
During the meeting, both parties stressed the importance of mutual cooperation, the role of the two sides and their efforts in protecting wildlife and endangered species, as well as the significance of the sharing of knowledge and expertise in supporting their joint objectives towards nature conservation and the protection of wildlife and biodiversity.
The visitconcluded with a tour of Al Ain Zoo and an overview of its diverse experiences, including the Al Ain Safari Tour.
