New Delhi, February 25, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) – The All India Institute of Medical Sciences has started the application process for the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET) 10. Through this recruitment drive, a total of 2,551 Nursing Officer posts will be filled across various AIIMS institutions and affiliated health centres in the country.

The last date to apply for the Nursing Officer post is March 16, 2026. The examination will be conducted in two stages:

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:
Educational Qualification: Applicants should possess a B.Sc (Hons) Nursing or B.Sc Nursing degree from a recognised institution or university. Candidates with a Post Basic B.Sc Nursing degree or a General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) diploma from an institution recognised by the Indian Nursing Council are also eligible to apply.
Age Limit: The applicant’s age should be between 18 and 30 years.
Selection Process and Exam Pattern
The selection process under NORCET 10 will be based on the Prelims and Mains examinations.
In the Preliminary examination, candidates will have to attempt 100 multiple-choice questions carrying a total of 100 marks. The duration of the exam will be 90 minutes. The question paper will be divided into five sections, with 20 questions in each section.
There will be a provision of negative marking. For every incorrect answer, one-third of a mark will be deducted. Out of the total questions, 20 will be from General Knowledge and Aptitude, while 80 questions will be based on the nursing syllabus.
Application Fee
Candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories are required to pay an application fee of Rs 3,000. For SC, ST and EWS category candidates, the application fee is Rs 2,400. The fee can be paid through debit card, credit card or net banking.
