Wipro rises on exiting JV by selling remaining 11% stake to Antariksh Softtech

Mumbai : Wipro is currently trading at Rs. 282.65, up by 0.50 points or 0.18% from its previous closing of Rs. 282.15 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 282.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 283.90 and Rs. 281.55 respectively. So far 46449 shares were traded on the counter. The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 301.55 on 14-Jun-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 191.44 on 29-Jun-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 287.90 and Rs. 280.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 170589.44 crore. The promoters holding in the company stood at 73.85%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 15.43% and 8.44% respectively. Wipro has exited its joint venture (JV) Wipro Airport IT Services (WAISL) by selling its remaining 11 per cent shareholding to Antariksh Softtech for Rs 55 lakh. In April last year, the company had sold 63 per cent of its stake in WAISL to Antariksh Softtech in a Rs 3.15 crore deal.

WAISL was a JV between Wipro (74 per cent) and Delhi International Airport (DIAL), which held 26 per cent stake. It provided various IT services at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. Wipro is a leading global information technology, consulting and business process services.
