The plan offers one-year service validity and is more affordable than most annual prepaid plans bundled with heavy data benefits.
As Vodafone Idea continues to invest in network expansion and coverage improvement, this new plan gives users a cost-effective option to stay connected for an entire year amid the ongoing discussions about data tariff hikes in India.
Vodafone Idea ₹2,249 Prepaid Plan Details
Under the new plan, subscribers will get:
Unlimited voice calls (local and STD)
3,600 SMS in total (valid for 365 days)
30GB of data for the entire year
In certain regions, including Himachal Pradesh, the plan offers 40GB of data, slightly higher than the standard benefit available in most circles. Vi is expected to roll out similar data variations in select other regions as well.
Affordable for Long-Term Users
At a daily effective cost of ₹6.16, this plan is targeted at users who prefer long validity and voice benefits over daily data allowances. It’s particularly suitable for customers who rely on Wi-Fi but want a reliable mobile plan for calls, light browsing, and SMS.
Once the bundled data is exhausted, additional data can be added via top-up packs, while post-data usage is charged at ₹0.50 per MB. Post-SMS quota, users will be charged ₹1 for local SMS and ₹1.5 for STD SMS.

The ₹2,249 plan is available across all circles, making it one of the few nationwide annual prepaid options under ₹2,500.
