Udaipur, April 20 (Udaipur Kiran): Sukher Police Station arrested two accused for allegedly running online betting on Indian Premier League matches.

According to police, the team led by SI Devilal and ASI Narayan Singh was on patrol when they received information from special team in-charge Vikram Singh about betting activity inside a vehicle in the Nakoda Vihar Planning area.
Acting on the tip-off, the police reached the spot near Bhilon Ka Badla, where two individuals were found placing bets using mobile phones on the bonnet of a Scorpio vehicle. Both were detained on the spot.
During questioning, the accused were identified as Mayank Chaplot, a resident of Rajnagar, and Abhishek Kumar, originally from Aligarh and currently residing in Bhuvana.
Police said the duo was operating betting activities through three gaming websites using different IDs. They had allegedly obtained login credentials from a person identified as “Rocky” and were facilitating betting for others.
The police recovered three mobile phones, written records of transactions involving lakhs of rupees, and cash amounting to ₹62,500 from their possession.
Officials added that the accused frequently changed locations to avoid detection. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
