Udaipur : The Indian Railways is set to launch a new tri-weekly Vande Bharat Express service connecting Udaipur City and Agra Cantt via Kota, starting from September 2, 2024. This new service aims to enhance passenger convenience and connect key tourist destinations.
New Vande Bharat Express Route and Schedule
According to Captain Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway, the train number 20981 Udaipur City-Agra Cantt tri-weekly (Monday, Thursday, Saturday) Vande Bharat Express will depart from Udaipur City at 5:45 AM and arrive at Agra Cantt at 2:30 PM starting September 2, 2024. Similarly, train number 20982 Agra Cantt-Udaipur City tri-weekly (Monday, Thursday, Saturday) Vande Bharat Express will depart from Agra Cantt at 3:00 PM and arrive at Udaipur City at 11:45 PM from September 2, 2024. This service will have stops at Rana Pratapnagar, Mavli, Chanderia, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, and Gangapur City stations.
Impact on Existing Udaipur-Jaipur Vande Bharat Service
Due to the new Udaipur City-Agra Cantt-Udaipur City tri-weekly Vande Bharat Express service, the existing Udaipur City-Jaipur-Udaipur City Vande Bharat Express will now operate only three days a week (Wednesday, Friday, Sunday) instead of six days a week. Consequently, the service will be permanently canceled on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday between Udaipur City and Jaipur from September 1, 2024.
