Heavy Rain Forecast in Uttar Pradesh

Mumbai, October 29: A significant weather change is expected in Uttar Pradesh due to a western disturbance, with heavy rainfall predicted in the eastern regions on October 29 and 30. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued alerts for intense rainfall in various areas, including Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and Punjab on October 29, and in Uttarakhand and western Uttar Pradesh on October 30.
The weather disturbance is linked to a depression formed over southern Chhattisgarh and adjacent southern Odisha, which is expected to cause heavy rainfall in eastern Chhattisgarh and northern Odisha on October 29, and in northern Bihar on October 30. Additionally, a low-pressure area is developing over the South Andaman Sea, which may intensify into a depression by October 31, moving towards the southeastern Bay of Bengal and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
The IMD warns that hail may also occur in several regions, including eastern Rajasthan, during this period. Residents are advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions as the weather conditions may worsen in the coming days.
