Bhopal, 24 November (Udaipur Kiran)। Winter conditions have intensified once again in Madhya Pradesh, with two different weather systems currently active across the state. According to the Meteorological Department, cloud cover has been observed in many districts, while dense fog appeared in parts of the Vindhya region. These systems have increased moisture levels in the atmosphere and caused a slight drop in daytime temperatures.

Pachmarhi Records Lowest Temperature
Pachmarhi remained the coldest place in the state over the last 24 hours, recording a minimum temperature of 5.6°C. Other districts also experienced sharp drops in night temperatures:
Naugaon: 8.2°C
Narsinghpur & Mandsaur: 8.6°C
Shajapur: 8.8°C
Rajgarh: 9°C
In the capital Bhopal, the night temperature fell to 9.4°C, resulting in chilly mornings and evenings.
Meanwhile, temperatures were recorded at 11.7°C in Indore, 12.1°C in Gwalior, 12.2°C in Jabalpur, and 12.5°C in Ujjain. Even though these cities were slightly above the 10°C mark, increased moisture and cool winds made mornings and evenings noticeably colder.
No Cold Wave for Next Five Days, but No Relief from Winter
As per the Bhopal Meteorological Centre, a Western Disturbance is active, bringing cloud cover to several regions. Light rainfall or drizzling may occur at isolated places, which could influence night temperatures.
The department clarified that no cold wave conditions are expected in any district for the next five days. However, the minimum temperature is likely to stay below normal, meaning residents will not get full relief from the cold.
Weather scientists expect the winter to intensify from the first week of December, as colder winds from North India move towards Madhya Pradesh with falling temperatures in the northern plains. Most districts may experience increased chill, especially during night hours.
Overall, fluctuations in weather conditions are likely to continue, with further drop in night temperatures expected in the coming days.
