Mumbai, September 16 (Patrika English News). Shares of Suzlon Energy advanced over 2% on Tuesday after the company’s group secured an 838 MW order from Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL), strengthening its position in India’s growing clean energy sector.

The stock opened at ₹58.24 on the BSE and touched a high of ₹59.64, before trading at ₹59.30, up by ₹1.23 or 2.12% from the previous close. Over 65.3 lakh shares were traded during the session. Suzlon’s market capitalisation currently stands at ₹81,264.38 crore.
The order, part of TPREL’s Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project, will involve the installation of 266 of Suzlon’s S144 wind turbines, each with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW. The projects will be spread across Karnataka (302 MW), Maharashtra (271 MW), and Tamil Nadu (265 MW).
This marks Suzlon’s second-largest order to date, after the 1,544 MW contract from NTPC Green Energy. The deal underlines Suzlon’s role in supporting large-scale FDRE projects, which are key to India’s renewable energy transition.
The collaboration brings together Tata Power’s renewable expansion plans and Suzlon’s next-generation wind technology, reflecting the potential of Made in India solutions to deliver reliable, efficient, and grid-integrated clean power.
Suzlon Energy, the flagship company of Suzlon Group, continues to be a leader in India’s wind energy sector.
