New Delhi, April 6 : There has been a substantial decline in terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir in the past four years as 417 attacks took place in 2018, compared to 229 attacks in 2021, according to on Home Ministry data presented in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday. Responding to a query by Congress leader Shaktisinh Gohil, Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai presented the statistics in a written response. “There has been substantial decline in terrorist attacks from 417 in 2018 to 255 in 2019, 244 in 2020 and 229 in 2021,” he said. Further, the MoS said the government has a policy of zero tolerance against terrorism and that a robust security and intelligence grid is in place to prevent any terror attack. “In addition, day and night area domination, round-the-clock checking at Nakas, patrolling and proactive operations against terrorists are being carried out,” he added.
