Sitapur, May 14: The decision by the government to impose a temporary ban on sugar exports until September 30, 2026, has received support from Sudhakar Shukla, Chairman of the Biswan Sugar Mill Committee. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal, emphasizing the critical need to strengthen the country’s economy in light of current global conditions and war-like situations.
Speaking to a news agency, Shukla noted that while the world is facing an economic crisis, India’s situation remains stable and robust. He stated that if the country’s economic condition remains strong, the pace of development will also continue.
Shukla further explained that the Prime Minister’s appeal aims to make India economically stronger. He mentioned that the government’s decision to temporarily halt sugar exports is a step in this direction.
He added that the ban on sugar exports until September 2026 is also linked to future energy needs and plans to promote ethanol production. Increased ethanol production could reduce the consumption of petrol and diesel, helping the country move towards energy self-sufficiency.
The Chairman urged citizens to contribute to saving petrol and diesel by minimizing vehicle use when not necessary and limiting fuel consumption. He also supported the Prime Minister’s advice for people to avoid purchasing gold for the time being. Shukla stated that if citizens adhere to these suggestions, it will strengthen India’s economy and secure a better future for the common people.
He reassured that despite global tensions, there is currently no crisis in the country, and conditions remain normal. Shukla affirmed that the government is continuously taking steps to keep the economy strong and accelerate India’s journey towards self-reliance in the future.
