Udaipur, May 14 (Udaipur Kiran) — Public anger is increasing in Udaipur over continuous unscheduled power cuts and frequent voltage fluctuations in different parts of the city. Residents say electricity supply is being disrupted for hours during both day and night, while voltage has also remained unstable for several days.
Locals alleged that despite repeated complaints, no satisfactory response or action is being taken by the electricity department. Residents claim that the problem has become more serious during the summer season.
People have also expressed disappointment with local MLA Tarachand and MP Mannalal Rawat, alleging that no effective efforts are visible from public representatives regarding the electricity crisis.
Questions are also being raised over the functioning of Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited officials in Udaipur. Residents alleged that the SE of the Udaipur circle has failed to improve the power supply system and no concrete ground-level action is visible.
Due to voltage fluctuation and repeated outages, electronic appliances such as refrigerators, water motors, lights and fans are reportedly getting damaged, causing financial losses to consumers.
Residents have demanded immediate improvement in power supply and stable voltage in the city.
