Kolkata, 13 November (Udaipur Kiran)। Ahead of the India–South Africa Test match starting Friday, Kolkata Police has strengthened security arrangements across the city, with special focus on Eden Gardens and its surrounding areas.

A senior police officer said elaborate security measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of both teams. Special protection has been arranged for their movement between the hotel and practice venues. These measures will remain in force throughout all five days of the match.
Kolkata Police has also issued a detailed traffic advisory applicable from 14 to 18 November, aimed at managing vehicular movement around the stadium and the Maidan area.
As per the advisory, the movement of all goods vehicles will be strictly prohibited from 7 am to 7 pm in and around Eden Gardens on match days. Several public transport routes have also been modified to ensure smooth traffic flow.
Officials added that traffic and security guidelines may be updated depending on crowd conditions and real-time requirements.
