The accident occurred Sunday morning when a bus skidded off the road and fell 50 meter down in Madhyabindu Municilpality area.
According to police five persons died on the spot while another one lost his life during the treatment.
Six injured passengers were discharged after the first aid and remaining 38 have been admitted in various hospitals. The driver of the bus fled after the accident.
