Patna: Six people sitting on top of a bus carrying passengers to a wedding were electrocuted in Rohtas’ Chenari – some 200 kilometers from the state capital – on Tuesday night.
News agency ANI has reported that several members of the wedding party were sitting on top of the bus when the unfortunate incident occurred. While a rather common sight in rural India, the risk of being on top of a moving bus became almost tragic when six of the passengers reportedly hit a live electricity cable.
The victims were rushed to a local hospital and an investigation into the matter has been launched.
